Cowboys Agree To Terms With 9 Undrafted Free Agents

Last year, six undrafted rookies made the Dallas Cowboys’ 53-man roster at some point in the season. Four of these--Phil Costa, Chris Gronkowski, Barry Church and Danny McCray--were active for the team’s season opener. Tony Romo, Miles Austin and Stephen Bowen, as you might remember, each went undrafted before emerging as key pieces in the organization.

Which is to say, the Cowboys are well aware of the potential to be found in the pool of undrafted free agents. As of today, Dallas has signed nine of them.

What we know about these guys is minimal at the moment. We do know that two come from Texas schools, that one has a hard-to-spell name, and that this probably isn’t all the undrafted free agent signings we’ll see.

But for now, here’s the list of undrafted free agents to come to an agreement with your Cowboys as of Tuesday afternoon, via ESPN:

Center Jose Acuna from Nevada; kicker Dan Bailey, from Oklahoma State; cornerback Mario Butler, from Georgia Tech; quarterback Zack Eskridge, from Midwestern State (in Wichita Falls); center Kevin Kowalski, from Toledo; receiver Lyle Leong, from Texas Tech; guard Leupapa Letuli, from Hawaii; cornerback Chris Randle, from Utah State; and safety Justin Taplin-Ross, from Utah.
