Cowboys Add WR Spurlock, DT Kearse

Micheal Spurlock and Frank Kearse were added to the active roster on Wednesday

With Dwayne Harris still questionable with a hamstring injury, the Dallas Cowboys signed wide receiver/return man Micheal Spurlock on Wednesday. Spurlock was released by the Lions ten days ago, after appearing in nine games.

Spurlock’s best season came back in 2010 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he caught 17 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He entered the league with the Arizona Cardinals in 2006, as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi.

The Cowboys also added defensive tackle Frank Kearse to the active roster off the Tennessee Titans practice squad. An Alabama A&M product, Kearse was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2010 Draft. He was released by the team back in August, and joined the Titans shortly thereafter. He has 23 career tackles and 1.5 sacks.
