Cowboys Add Free Agent DE Jeremy Clark

With both Marcus Spears and Sean Lissemore out for four to six weeks with respective calf and groin injuries, and the Dallas Cowboys are attempting to shore up their defensive front, the Cowboys agreed to terms with free agent defensive end Jeremy Clark on Tuesday.

Clark was among the final cuts after spending training camp with the Arizona Cardinals, and has remained a free agent ever since. An Alabama product, Clark has had stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, and the Giants once more, before signing with Arizona prior to the 2010 season.

Clark’s experience has been mostly limited to practice squads, but he appeared in four games for the Giants in 2008.

As Clark hasn’t signed, Dallas doesn’t yet have to make a roster move, but they could soon place either Lissemore or Spears on injured reserve to make room for the newcomer.
