Cowboys 7th Rounder Laurence Gibson Breaks a Finger

Gibson will miss OTAs and minicamp after undergoing surgery on the finger this week

Dallas Cowboys rookie offensive tackle Laurence Gibson, a seventh round pick out of Virginia Tech, will be sidelined for awhile after undergoing surgery to repair a broken finger on his left hand.

According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, Gibson is expected to miss all organized team activities over the next three weeks and will likely miss the mandatory minicamp next month, as well.

One of three seventh round picks by the Cowboys, Gibson started all 13 games in his final year at Virginia Tech.

Whenever he does return, he will push for a spot on the Dallas roster as a reserve offensive tackle in a loaded offensive line group.
