10. I know it’s irrelevant because of Tony Romo’s ensuing completion to Cole Beasley, but how does the replay booth not at least review Dez Bryant’s (non) catch inside the 10? He had control, two feet on the ground and was diving forward for yards when the ball came out only after clearly being forced by the ground. As bad as that game was at times, the refs were even worse.
9. Hey Jason Pierre-Paul, I thought you were going to “Really put it on ‘em”? And where’s the “blood that will be spilled”? In reality, Tyron Smith muted you into one – 1 – harmless tackle in 62 Cowboys’ snaps.
8. Just when we were praising Travis Frederick and panning Miles Austin, one had a bad game and the other had a key catch. That the way football go?
7. Cowboys’ defense was better today, “holding” the Giants to only 356 yards and 22 first downs. But I haven’t seen a gaffe like the one perpetrated by Bruce Carter/Jeff Heath since Pop Warner. Allowing a guy to catch a pass and then lazily not making the effort to touch him down is just inexcusable. And amateurish.
6. We all love Dez. He’s a monster. But I don’t totally trust him because he’s still too immature to cherish ball-security over trash-talking. He did more than his share of woofing today, but also had a drop that turned into an interception and a fumble that thwarted a 4th-quarter drive.
5. Props to Jason Garrett and the Cowboys for time management on the last drive. Not only did they get the points, they made sure Eli Manning didn’t get a chance to one-up ‘em. Bravo!
4. The Giants are 4-7 and I picked the Cowboys to win. Still, with Eli’s history combined with the Cowboys’ trait of coughing up late leads, this certainly feels like a signature win. Right? Just as important, Cowboys are now 4-0 against the NFC East.

3. Earlier this week I wrote that I talked to a Cowboys’ source who promised the Bye week was spent designing ways to get Dez the ball. Mission accomplished. Cowboys moved him in the slot and targeted him early and often to the tune of 16 passes thrown his way. No reason that shouldn’t happen every game.
2. Don’t know of any other kicker I’d rather have attempting that 35-yard game-winning field goal than Dan Bailey. As close to automatic as you can get.
1. Hear that? It’s Romo haters, sitting quietly in the corner. In the Cowboys’ last two wins over Vikings and Giants he’s led clutch, game-winning drives. Today he converted three 3rd downs on the pivotal possession, including the game-sealer to Cole Beasley one play after Bryant let him down with a non-catch. If you still think Romo is a “choker” at this point, you’re just being stupidly stubborn.
