Church Not Worried About Hamstring Issue

Barry Church was forced out of Sunday's win over the Giants with hamstring cramps

Dallas Cowboys safety Barry Church was forced to exit Sunday’s victory over the New York Giants in the fourth quarter with a hamstring issue, but was on the field for Monday’s practice session and is confident he’ll play in Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Eagles, according to the Dallas Morning News.

A defensive captain, Church has 62 tackles, four passes defensed and two interceptions on the season.

Church isn’t the only member of the secondary dealing with an injury at the moment. Cornerback Tyler Patmon will likely miss at least one more game with a sprained MCL and safety Jeff Heath is dealing with a broken thumb that will require surgery.

“I am pretty confident it is nothing serious and I’ll be back soon,” Heath said.
