Are you still mourning the Cowboys' collapse against Detroit last Sunday? Feel like there's no hope? Despondent because you know, in your heart of hearts, that Tony Romo is a gifted passer who will never be able to overcome his mental lapses? Well, buck up, friendo! Because the Cowboys are still America's Favorite Team!

According to the results of a recent Harris Poll, the Cowboys are the most popular team in the NFL for the fifth consecutive season... The franchise with five Super Bowl trophies has never been ranked lower than fourth.

You hear that? The Cowboys may not be #1 in the NFC East, or #1 in pass defense, or even #1 in not turning the ball over three times to choke away a certain victory. But they're still #1 IN YOUR HEART. And really, isn't that the most important thing of all? I think we all know that the Double J cherishes the "America's Team" title even more than he cherishes a Super Bowl win, and so he must be giddy as a little schoolgirl today. There's a little extra shine on his stretched cheeks, that's for sure!

But there's more! Thanks to the Mavericks' title win, the entire Dallas area was named America's Best Sports City of 2011, according to the Sporting News.

According to the publication, "the rankings are based on a variety of factors, including each city's number of teams and their regular-season won-lost records, postseason appearances, bowl appearances and tournament bids, championships, applicable power ratings, attendance, fan fervor and more."

One thing the rankings are apparently not based on? Turnover ratio. Anyway, this news has to be an incredible blow to the folks in Boston, who were just named America's most DOMINANT Sports City by ESPN (nee BSTN). Whatever will they do now? IT'S BUCKNAH AWLL OVAH AGAIN!

So take heart, Cowboys fans. Your QB may have awful judgment, and your running back may have no clue as to proper clock management. But you're still #1 anyway! YEEEEEHAWWWWW!!!
