Choice “Proud of the NFLPA”

Dallas Cowboys running back Tashard Choice caused a bit of a stir this weekend when he praised the NFL Players’ Association’s decision to decertify in anticipation of a lockout on his Twitter page. Choice made the remarks on Friday, just hours after the news of the decertification broke.

"Gotta do what you gotta do that’s what I know," Choice said. "Proud of the nflpa. It’s always about money, sad but true."

Presumably, the comments drew some criticism on the popular social media site. Because shortly thereafter, Choice got back online to clarify his previous statement and apologize to fans for the labor strife currently threatening the 2011 NFL season.

"Just in case some of [you] say why I said I was proud of the nflpa is because they want a fair deal not because it won't be football,” he said. “Sorry fans for this dispute but hopefully a deal gets worked out and we can play football cause 2011 will be a big year."
