Caesar Rayford Returns With Practice Squad Deal

Rayford was cut earlier this week to make room for Corvey Irvin

The Dallas Cowboys brought back defensive end Caesar Rayford this morning, signing him to a practice squad deal, just a couple days after cutting him to free up a spot for defensive tackle Corvey Irvin.

Rayford, who came over in a trade with the Colts back in September, has played in seven games with Dallas this season and has five tackles (two solo). An Arena League veteran of five seasons, Rayford made the jump to the NFL this year.

As Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas points out today, the Cowboys must send their second round pick in 2015 to the Colts because Rayford was on the active roster for more than five weeks.
