Bryant, Newman Not at Wednesday Practice

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant and cornerback Terence Newman were not on the practice field Wednesday, the Associated Press reports.

The practice is the first for the team since their season opening loss Sunday in New Jersey.  Bryant suffered a bruised quad while returning a punt in the Jets game.  While it didn't keep him out of the game, it did slow him down a bit.

Newman has been absent due to a groin injury he picked up in camp, but his return is pressing because of injuries to other cornerbacks.

Orlando Scandrick is expected to miss this week's game in San Francisco, and maybe several more, with an ankle injury while Mike Jenkins was in and out of the Jets game due to a variety of ailments.  Jenkins, while not fully suited up, was on the field Wednesday.

Practice was moved from Valley Ranch to Cowboys Stadium Wednesday morning so that the team could avoid any rain that may fall.

Maybe no one told Bryant or Newman?  Not likely.
