Bringin' ‘Em Back: Jeremy Mincey

In a series of posts, we'll take a look at the Cowboys' own free agents they'll want to consider bringing back for the 2016 season.

Free agent: Jeremy Mincey, Defensive End

2015 stats: 19 tackles, 0 sacks, 1 pass breakup in 14 games

Man, those stats aren't too great to look at, especially when you consider what Mincey did in 2014 in his first season with the Cowboys. He played 16 games in 2014 with 6 sacks and 36 tackles with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The Cowboys could let Mincey walk away in free agency, but that would be foolish if they could get him to come back, accept a diminished role as they fortify through the draft and free agency, and hope they can get something closer to his 2014 performance than 2015. Mincey's been a solid guy in the room and seems well-liked by his teammates, and at the right price, he'd be a no-brainer to bring back.
