Brandon Carr “Ready To Do Some Work For The Dallas Cowboys”

Carr was signed to a five-year, $50 million deal on Wednesday

It seems that each party in the Dallas Cowboys’ signing of Brandon Carr is happy, though it’s not hard to see why. The Cowboys got a young, shutdown cornerback, an immediate upgrade over the rapidly declining (and recently released) Terence Newman, while Carr is set to make $50 million over the next five seasons.

"We're fired up," defensive coordinator Rob Ryan told CBS 11 in Dallas, via FoxSportsSouthwest.com. "He's a great guy. We loved him on tape. We got the right corner."

Carr seems pretty “fired up” himself, though again, we’d imagine it’d be hard not to be fired up after getting such a payday.

"I'm very excited," Carr told the team’s official website shortly after the signing. "I've been waiting for this day for a very long time. I'm humble. I'm grateful to be here. I'm blessed to be in this situation. At the end of the day, I'm ready to go back to work and do some work for the Dallas Cowboys."
