Brandon Carr: I'll Grow Into The Spotlight

CB Brandon Carr came over from Kansas City in free agency in March

Wednesday was the first media day of OTAs, giving one of the newest Cowboys something of a culture shock upon seeing the veritable swarm of press members with voice recorders and cameras in tow.

Cornerback Brandon Carr came over this offseason as a free agent from Kansas City, a tiny market compared to Dallas, particularly where NFL football is concerned. Asked by one reporter of the difference between Dallas and Kansas City, Carr smiled and said, per ESPN Dallas, “It’d probably be just you.

As the prized, big-money free agent of the offseason for the league’s most visible team, Carr is suddenly in the spotlight--he’s fine with that, he says, though he admits it might take some getting used to.

“I’m comfortable with it,” Carr said. “I’ll grow into it as it comes. Hopefully it will be a good spotlight, but that really doesn’t matter. When I’m out there playing, I’m not thinking about who’s looking at me or what they’re saying about me. I’m out there with my teammates and playing for them.”
