Well, it didn’t take long for Dallas Cowboys’ cornerback Brandon Carr to jump into the rivalry between his new team and the New York Giants.
In a recent interview on ESPN’s NFL Live, Carr--who was signed to a five-year, $50.1 million deal with Dallas a few weeks ago--said that he plans on putting an end to Giants’ WR Victor Cruz’s salsa dancing, at least when the two teams meet.
"I want to use all my body,” Carr said, per ESPN Dallas. “I'm six-foot, 200 pounds. I know he's got to run through me to get wherever he's running, so I'm going to be patient at the line. All that salsa dancing, that's fine, but you've got to come through me.
“I don't plan on seeing no dancing."
The Cowboys and Giants will meet at MetLife Stadium for the season opener on September 5, but as Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas points out today, Carr won’t be covering Cruz for much of the time--when the Giants’ use three-receiver sets, that duty will most likely fall to CB Orlando Scandrick.
