‘Boys Lead ‘Phins at Half, 10-6

The Dallas Cowboys are feeling thankful for a crucial botched snap

It hasn’t been pretty, but thanks in part to a couple of lucky breaks, the Dallas Cowboys are leading the Miami Dolphins, 10-6 at half.

The Miami offense has threatened several times, but they could only manage a first quarter, 26-yard field goal from Shayne Graham. Graham also missed a 47-yard try in the second quarter.

Dallas responded after the miss with their first scoring drive of the day, capped by a 32-yard field goal by Dan Bailey, to tie the game up at 3-3.

The score would remain notched at threes until a botched snap late in the second quarter, recovered by DeMarcus Ware, set Dallas up at the the Miami five-yard line. On the next play, Tony Romo hit Laurent Robinson for a touchdown to take the lead at 10-3.

Fueled by another lapse in kickoff coverage, Miami was able to march down the field on Dallas as time ran out on the half. Graham made his second field goal of the day to bring the score to 10-6.

Romo is 9-of-16 passing with the touchdown but he has thrown two interceptions thus far, to end his streak of games without an interception at three. DeMarco Murray has been effective as well, going for 54 yards on 14 carries.
