Bisaccia: We'll Clean Up Special Teams Mistakes

The Cowboys special teams allowed a safety and a blocked field goal on Sunday

Another Sunday, another mistake-hampered performance by the Dallas Cowboys special teams. But special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia isn’t that concerned about the mistakes, because he’s confident the team will get the issue fixed directly.

In the 31-17 victory over the Jaguars, Dan Bailey had a field goal attempt blocked for the second consecutive week, and if not for a tackle by Jason Witten the Jags would've returned it for a touchdown.

We got bested on that field-goal kick,” Bisaccia said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The other most glaring mistake from Sunday was a holding call in the end zone on a punt attempt, on Kyle Wilber, that resulted in a safety--and Jacksonville’s first points of the second half.

“I’ll have to see that on tape,” Bisaccia said of the safety. “I thought our guy was in great position and had his hands inside, but I can’t see it from where I am. But he’s got release.”
