Ben Bass OK After Early Exit in HoF Game

Bass came out of nowhere to win a job on the Dallas practice squad last year

The Dallas Cowboys’ defensive line has struggled throughout training camp with injury issues, and is Sunday night’s Hall of Fame game, it looked like they might have lost another member of the group.

Defensive tackle Ben Bass, who started the game, hurt his left knee with a little over two minutes to play in the first quarter of the Cowboys’ 24-20 victory over the Dolphins. He was looked at by Dallas trainers, who determined it wasn’t anything major, but he didn’t return to the game.

I don’t think that’s too serious,” Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said, per the Dallas Morning News.

Bass has been putting together an impressive training camp after being picked up by Dallas as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M last year.
