Baylor WR Terrance Williams: Jerry Jones “the Type of Person You Want to Play For”

Williams is a native of Dallas

Baylor receiver and Dallas native Terrance Williams was among the first wave of pre-draft visitors to Valley Ranch last week, and he came away taken aback. Not by the pictures on the wall or the Lombardi Trophies sitting in the lobby, but by the most visible owner in the NFL, Jerry Jones.

It was more than I had kind of expected," Williams said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Growing up, I was a huge Cowboys fan, so seeing [Jones] and talking to him was better than what I thought it would be. He is straight forward and to the point. He's the type of person you want to play for. That's the kind of feeling I had when I was meeting with him.”

With clear needs along the offensive line and at the safety position, it seems somewhat doubtful that Dallas will land Williams, as he’s expected to go in the second round. But for now, Williams--a WT White graduate--is just enjoying the ride.

“It's been fun,” Williams said. “This is only going to happen once. It'll never happen again. So I'm just taking it one day at a time.”
