Barber Suffers Strained Left Calf

The Cowboys emerged from their 30-27 Thanksgiving Day loss to the New Orleans Saints generally unscathed, but there were some minor injuries suffered by a few.

Running back Marion Barber, who had 19 yards and a touchdown on ten carries on Thursday, left the game with a strained calf. The injury appeared to have occurred on Barber’s unsuccessful attempt at the end zone in the fourth quarter, which was originally ruled a touchdown.

But the call was reversed, and Barber was replaced with Tashard Choice, who did finally score, his first touchdown of the season. The severity of Barber’s injury is not yet known.

Other injury news:

*Felix Jones did not appear limited by the bruised hip that kept him out of practice a couple times in the week leading up to Thursday’s game against the Saints.

*Wide receiver Miles Austin left Thursday’s game for a brief period with a forearm injury, but returned quickly. The injury is not considered serious.
