Apparently, Garrett, Olivia Munn Are Pals

The Cowboys head coach and the actress met during Super Bowl weekend

In news that caused us to say, “Wait, what?” it turns out that Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett and actress Olivia Munn are pals. Kind of, anyway.

According to the account in the Dallas Morning News, Garrett met Munn, star of HBO’s “The Newsroom” back in February during an event in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend. Munn discussed here approach to acting in terms of putting “the team” over the individual and, apparently this impressed Garrett.

The Dallas head coach reportedly invited her to come speak to the team as a result of their chance encounter, but it’s not clear when or if that’ll actually happen.

As for Munn, a native Oklahoman, she’s a self-described  Cowboys fan. But she admits it took her awhile to put two and two together and realize exactly who she was talking to.

“That’s how nice he is,” Munn said, per the Morning News. “He’s not like, ‘Hey, I’m the head coach.’ I literally had to ask him every question. … He’s the guy when he’s talking to you, he’s not telling you he’s the head coach. It takes like 30 minutes to get to that.”
