Anthony Spencer Feeling Like Himself Again

Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer underwent microfracture surgery on his knee last year

Just over a year after undergoing microfracture surgery on his left knee, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer is starting to feel like himself again.

My body feels really good,” Spencer said, per the Dallas Morning News. “It feels like I’m really getting back to myself. My instincts and everything are really starting to come back a little more each week.”

On Sunday, Spencer just had one tackle and a pass defensed. But he found himself in the right place at the right time after Terrell McClain stripped Robert Griffin III, and was able to scoop the ball up and march five yards for a Cowboys touchdown.

“It felt great,” Spencer said of the touchdown. “We had a play call, like a flush and I was going to run around the edge. Right when I turned around the corner, the ball was on the ground, and I happened to pick it up and score with it.”
