All-Pro G Zack Martin Will Return Monday

Martin suffered a stinger in the joint practices with the Rams and has been limited ever since

When the Dallas Cowboys begin preparing for the season opener against the New York Giants next week, All-Pro right guard Zack Martin will be a go.

Martin has been dealing with a stinger, suffered during the joint practices with the Rams,  for three weeks now. According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, he only saw 11 snaps this preseason, and all of those came against the 49ers. Initially, it was thought that he’d miss a week, but the Cowboys’ went the cautious route with the second-year Pro Bowler.

“Obviously I’d like to have had more reps, but I’ve got to take advantage of what I’ve done and take advantage of this week coming up as we prepare for New York,” Martin said.

Aside from wearing a neck roll on his shoulder pads from here out, Martin vowed that the injury wouldn’t change his approach to the game at all.

“We talk about there’s only one way to play,” Martin said, “so you can’t think about that kind of stuff.”
