Agent: Alfred Morris “Looking for a Fresh Start” in Dallas

Morris had a career-low 202 carries for Washington in 2015

After working through the least productive season of his brief career in 2015, running back Alfred Morris was ready for a fresh start elsewhere and that’s what ultimately brought him to the Dallas Cowboys, according to his agent Sean Stellato.

Prior to 2015, Morris never had less than 250 carries in a season, and never finished with under 1,000 yards. But last season, he saw a mere 202 carries and finished with 751 yards, as the Redskins explored their options in the backfield.

"The new regime I think had a different agenda with regards to him—drafting a running back in the third round—and I think it was frustrating because the fact is last year he never spoke publicly but I think he never really had a chance to get rhythm. And I think as a running back, as a player, when you see players over time, guys that can get into a rhythm and accelerate.

“I think mentally when you don't know when your next carry's going to come it can wear on you a little bit. So I think he's looking for a fresh start. It should be an exciting date up in Washington next season."
