Adrian Peterson's Father Says He's Heard Dallas “Rumors”

The Cowboys are one of three teams Nelson Peterson has heard rumors about in connection to his son

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was only cleared for potential reinstatement to the NFL on Thursday, but the rumor mill is already heating up again over the idea of the two-time NFL rushing champion leaving Minnesota.

According to Nelson Peterson, Adrian’s father, his son has not asked to be traded but he’s heard “rumors” of three potential destinations, should the 29-year-old be moved before the 2015 season--and one of them, not surprisingly, is Dallas.

“I’ve heard rumors, Arizona,” Nelson Peterson told the St. Paul Pioneer-Press. “I’ve also heard the rumors of Indianapolis and the Colts, going there with a quarterback the caliber of (Andrew) Luck. I’ve also heard the Cowboys, coming back home with the Cowboys, behind that offensive line that they have.

Peterson was born and raised in Palestine, TX.
