1,000 Yards Would be Nice, But McFadden Focused on Wins

Darren McFadden has a chance to go over 1,000 rushing yards for just the second time in his career

Cowboys running back Darren McFadden would love to reach 1,000 yards for the second time in his career, and he has a real chance to do it this year, but the veteran is far more concerned with wins.

McFadden has 798 yards on the year with three games remaining. His only previous 1,000-yard rushing season came way back in 2010.

"I would love to get 1,000 yards," McFadden said, per the Dallas Morning News. "But at the end of the day, it's a team sport, so I like to go out there and play to win."

Even given the Cowboys' 4-9 record, 2015 has to be read as a success for McFadden on an individual level, if for no other reason than he's managed to stay healthy (knock on wood) through the year.

"I'm happy about the fact that I have been out there, being able to run how I have been running," McFadden said. "But, man, you want to get victories with that. When it comes down to the end of the day, the yards that I rush for don't mean anything without Ws."
