In tough economic times, cash-strapped parents are hitting children's resale shops to find bargains on items their children need or want.

Parents are also selling their children's items to make a little extra cash.

Once Upon a Child in Carrollton has seen a 25 percent increase in sales since this time last year, and the owner said she expects business to remain steady even when the economy comes back.

"It's very difficult to go back and spend that extra money when you have it available to you at such a great price," owner Toni Little said.
