T&P Warehouse Restoration Faces Committee

The restoration of Fort Worth's Texas & Pacific Warehouse will take a step this month, when the architects go before the Historic & Cultural Landmarks Commission with their plans.
Architecture firm Gromatsky, Dupree & Associates and the building's owner Cleopatra Investments has outlined extensive changes and updates to the protected building, including more than 300 residential units, ground-floor commercial and retail and refurbished outdoor space.
In addition to the building's incorporation of residential and retail components, the parties have presented technical updates required of the historic Art Deco building, with a new exterior, roofing and windows being installed with a strict adherence to the Commission's standards.
Hopes are high for the development of the Lancaster Street monolith, promising something of a downtown renaissance should everything go as planned.
