Omni Hotels wass the recommended winner in the competition to operate the proposed Dallas Convention Center Hotel.

A city council committee today voted 5 to 1 for Omni over Marriott back in November, but the final operator decision has been delayed.

The Marriott hotel group is still working to win over the council, as Unfair Park details in this report.

A voter referendum on it is set in May, though the council will make a recommendation some time before that.
