Wanna Be an Official Wine Snob?

A San Diego company is becoming the first in the county to offer a certification program that can help you become an official wine snob.
The Wine & Spirits Education Trust certification is a program offered to people who want to make a career of wine, perhaps as a sommieler at a fine restaurant, for example. The WSET program was founded in London in 1969. Until now the closest classes have been offered in Laguna and Los Angeles.
"I have learned that a lot of people coming to me have either been laid off or burned out and want to forge a new career path in wine," says Lindsay Pomeroy of Wine Smarties.
The classes are scheduled beginning September 14th at Tango Wine Company at 2161 India Street in San Diego.
