“Our goal with GattiTown North Dallas was to create a place where memories are made,” says Aimee Griffiths, co-owner of Dallas’ newest family-friendly eat-ertainment venue.  She and husband Paul opened the doors to this 20,000 square foot fantasy of fun on Tuesday, and they’re giving ol’ Chuck E. a run for his cheese.  In addition to a 6,000 square foot game room, four private party rooms, a cartoon theater and more, GattiTown also features an all-you-can-eat buffet laden with pizzas, pastas, salads and desserts ($8.69, with a discount for kids and seniors).

Open seven days a week and equipped to facilitate any occasion you’re planning, we’re thinking this may be the new go-to get-together spot for birthdays and sleepovers. But good luck getting the kids off the Frog Hopper when it’s time to head home!

Lemon Bar

Lemon Bar is now open in the hard-luck West Village space that formerly housed Ferre, Pescabar and most recently short-lived Lazare.  (That’s ‘lemon’ like the fruit, by the way, not ‘Lemmon’ like the street that runs alongside it.)  A look at the new resto’s extensive menu reveals a gastro-pub style combination of sophisticated entrees and hearty happy hour faves.  Choose from stylish selections like Steak Frites ($14) and Herb Dijon Salmon ($13) or opt for the likes of fried calamari ($9) and chicken wings ($14).
Drink deals include $4 and $5 drafts, $7 and $9 wines by the glass and $7 bottomless mimosas and bellinis on the weekend.  Daily drink specials are also available, but if you want to know what they are, you’ll have to do as the menu says and, “Ask someone about it.”

HE’S BACK:

Finally, we’re all whooping for joy at the news that Jay Jerrier and his delish Cane Rosso pizzas have returned to Times Ten Cellars in Lakewood for the fall.  Every Wednesday through November (and maybe even longer), you can enjoy authentic, fresh-baked Neapolitan-style pizza from 5 p.m. ‘til the dough runs out at this popular neighborhood winery.  We hear Jerrier is also planning to visit Times Ten in Fort Worth – stay tuned for upcoming dates!
