In 1998 the band Fastball couldn't be stopped, with their hit song "The Way"  album "All The Pain Money Can Buy," the band was riding high after being nominated for two Grammy Awards.

They were on the music map but the albums that followed didn't do as well commercially and the band took a five year hiatus.

"At one point I thought the band was done, to answer the first part of your question. It's a drag to have a lot of success and then have it fade away, I mean, that's no fun. But enough time passes and you're like, 'I still dig it,'" said Miles Zuniga, singer and co-founder of fastball.

On April 14, Fastball will release its fifth studio album, "Little White Lies."

"It just came time to do a new record. We've been a band for a long time and it kinda refuses to die," said Zuniga

Zuniga sat down with James Chippendale at Alo Restaurant in Dallas to enjoy some Peruvian food and talk music.

These days Zuniga spends his time enjoying good friends, good food and good wine.

"Every bottle of wine is different. If you order a Jack Daniels in Hong Kong, it's gonna taste the same as a Jack Daniels in Bakersfield," said Zuniga, "But with wine, every bottle is different and even it could be the same house, the same grapes, it depends on the bottle, I mean it's amazing."

The band is looking forward to hitting the road once again and will perform at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin on March 18.

"It's a conversation between you, and the audience, and the audience almost becomes one person, so it's just a conversation between you and one other person. Ideally, that's the way it ought to feel," said Zuniga on playing with the band to a live audience.
