Zymology, the well-reviewed "gastro pub" in Lower Greenville, shut down last week to the surprise of many who have been reading the positive coverage in local rags and mags.

Townie Lisa Petty from DallasEats got down to the nitty gritty with co-owner Ben Verdooren on why Zymology had to shutter, even with big press.

Of course, the economy had something to do with it -- but Petty's story references a lot of other issues -- including a problem, Lower Greenvill's "frat-boy binge drinking" image.

It's an interesting look inside how a business can just go under, even when good faith, good press, and good ideas are in line.
