PARTY ON:  If you haven’t settled on an alter-ego for Halloween yet, it's time to go shopping!  Whether you’re in the market for something sweet, something spooky or something a little sexy, Party City has you covered.  With over 3,000 costumes to choose from and many on sale, you’ll even have enough green left over for accessories, props, plates and napkins and more.  Shop online or at your nearest Party City.

FAMILY FUN:  Sears has slashed costume prices by 40%, and we’re loving their selection of both traditional and unexpected choices.  Sure, you’re little trick-or-treater could go as a mummy or a vampire, but he’d really clean up as zombie pizza delivery man or a life-sized box of Wheaties.  Don’t miss Sears’ Halloween décor either, because you can never have enough life-sized bats, hairy giant spiders or talking monster heads – especially if the little ghouls and goblins are gathering at your house this year.

VINTAGE HAUNTS:  For some D.I.Y. costume creation fun, creep your way to a vintage or resale shop to unearth an outfit with a (haunted?) past.  Check out Ahab Bowen, Gratitude (3613 Fairmount St., Dallas), Dolly Python (1916 N. Haskell Ave., Dallas) or Buffalo Exchange.  Or your parents’ attic, for that matter – who knows what disco-era disasters you might find up there?

SKIP THE BAGS: Fellow Townie Lyndsay Knecht Milne showcases a Denton costume shop that's got far more than bagged basics. If you're needing the extra ooph in your costuming creation, check out her piece on Rose Costumes in Denton.

Party City has over 3,000 costumes to choose from.

Sears even has costumes for the littlest trick-or-treaters.

This Zombie Pizza Man will be the hit of the block.
