The Gaylord Texan is kicking off the holiday season tonight with a Christmas tree lighting and a ton of free entertainment for the family.

The pinnacle of the Gaylord's celebration is the "ICE!" exhibit. This year, the hotel partnered with Dr. Seuss to create a colorful exhibit of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" -- made almost entirely of ice.

"In past years, we did more traditional, Christmas ice displays, and this year, with Dr. Seuss, it is just very colorful; very whimsical," says Martha Neibling, Director of Public Relations, Gaylord Texan.

Over 5,000 blocks of ice, weighing in at almost two million pounds were handcrafted by artisans for the exhibit which runs through January 3rd.
