What started out as a "one time only" fundraiser has become one of the most anticipated annual art events in Dallas. On Saturday, December 12, at 7:00 p.m. Art Conspiracy marks it's fifth year of bringing artists and musicians together to "conspire" for a good cause.

Once again the Art Con crew will transform an empty warehouse into a one-night-only art gallery and performance space. 150 Artists will work in shifts the day before to paint 18" x 18' plywood canvases. Each artist has to finish their piece in two and a half hours. Those art works are then auctioned off during the event on Saturday in rapid fire live auctions with starting bids being $20. Four live bands will play live during the event, as well as video installations from Edward Ruiz.

"We've worked to make Art Conspiracy unique, it's an event built on creativity, but the end game is doing good." says Cari Weinberg, Executive Director, Art Conspiracy. "Art Conspiracy is fun, fast-paced and accessible to everyone."

The proceeds of the event will go to Resolana, an organization that provides rehabilitative arts programming for women in the Dallas County Jail and Dawson State Jail in Dallas.

Admission is $10 and will be hosted by Paul Slavens of KERA-FM's 90.1 at Night.
