The first Uncle Julio's opened in Dallas in 1986, and now has 8 North Texas locations. You'll often find a line out the door as people wait for a table and sip on The Swirl, a frozen margarita swirled with homemade sangria. On the menu you'll find not only the traditional tacos, enchiladas and tamales, but also ribs, quail, frog legs and jumbo shrimp. The décor is bright and cheery Hacienda style, and the food is fresh and delicious.

- Stephanie Their salsa has too much black pepper in it. It's all I can taste when I eat it. I'd go to Mi Cocina just for that reason - at least there I'd know I'd have decent Salsa and refried beans instead of those gross boiled pinto beans they serve.Their salsa has too much black pepper in it.
