Arlington police say a man threatening to jump from the Texas 360 bridge above I-20 has been taken into custody and traffic has reopened on the interstate.

Authorities closed several lanes of traffic after getting a report of a man threatening suicide around 6:30 a.m. Saturday from an overpass.

Sgt. Os Flores said in a statement that the incident stemmed from a domestic disturbance at an Arlington residence in which the 29-year-old suspect allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

Flores said the man complied with officers' requests and was arrested.

NBCDFW users sent in images of the incident on I-20 at Texas 360 -- these can be viewed on the left.

Another man threatened to jump from the Amon Carter Bridge over 183, shutting down that freeway for more than three hours.

Traffic lanes are now reopened for both freeways.
