Over Easy -- YOLK
Artists, photographers, models, stylists and designers mixed with media types like us at YOLK friday night. The annual exhibition held at 4 Dog Studio in the Arts District offers a place for people with ‘shared visions of a shared world’ to eat, drink and make merry. Monica Pi and George Selestino produced the party, which included beats by DJ Joe Vega, models from The Campbell Agency, an aerial performance by Heather Simpson and hundreds of works of art from local artists. There was an underlying egg theme in most of the art work. A looped video of an egg frying on a skillet reminded partiers it was the weekend -- time to get bubble gum brained and unwind!

Plant Based Party -- Bamboo At Fuse
Our friends at Fuse used the launch of their new menu as an excuse to party hard Friday night. Sassy servers doled out complimentary wasabi crusted corn dogs, beef Yakitori skewers, ginger beef lo mein, Masala chicken and Cajun tuna rolls with tempura crawfish and spicy remoulade. A willowy redhead kept guests enthralled with her fire dance to beats by DJ Andrew Blanchard. Another go-go dancer, who acted one sip away from teetering out of her clear heels head first into the pool, further entertained the crowd. Good times!  The vibe was pleasant and the weather perfect for sipping Fuse’s signature mojitos. The new LED lighting bounced off people’s faces, giving everyone an attractive glow and the new movie screen showing Kung Fu flicks was a sweet addition to the hip eatery.
"Fuse is truly a downtown party mecca for you and your select crew," said Anna Lama, Fuse Special Events Coordinator.
