Along Good Latimer, under I-45 in Dallas,  two pedestrian-friendly parks (Art Park and Bark Park Central) are looking for a coat of new paint.

After a last round of painters added artwork back in 1998, the Deep Ellum Foundation is looking for a new round of artists to add "all new and all local" art to the walking parks lovingly called the Deep Ellum Connector.

"Things are really picking up in Deep Ellum, and the Foundation sees art as a big part of that.  Art has been and will be important to the neighborhood as it grows.  I see artists being a big part of this community in the grand scheme of things," predicts Barry Annino, President of the Deep Ellum Foundation in a press release.

Interested artists need to submit their proposals to the Deep Ellum Foundation by July 24. More information and entry forms can be found at this site.
